The Lou Lou to my Hannah!!

I have a friend name Alexis Codling. We live 4 hours away from each other and live very seperate lives but I think it's neat that we can be as close as we are. It's definitely hard not being able to text her and tell her to come over and she would be here in 10 minutes but its a feeling of knowing we always have each others backs. That we are there for each other emotionally, not just physically. We can go a couple days, weeks, and sometimes months without talking and it doesnt effect our relationship, because the next time we talk or get together its like nothing has changed. I am just glad I will always have her! She was too amazing and talented. She's beautiful on the inside and out, she doesn't even acknowledge it.

We both love Dairy Queen and we spent so many nights going there. I think it got to a point where all the workers knew our names. We would both order our chicken tenders basket and then talk about everything, even though we already know everything about each other. Another place we loved to go was Sonic. I remember we had just found our winter formal dresses and we vowed to eat healthy, so we would look great in our dresses. However, we had to have one last splurge and we decided Sonic was the place to be. I love Cranberry and Raspberry limeades almost as much as I love our memories at Sonic.

Ooh and you can't forget about our theme nights. The picture above shows what our nights were like. We ditched a basketball game and went to her house to watch this movie and eat a lot. (I think that's always what I do at her house!)

You can't forget about the night we had a Dairy Ice Cream Cake. We vowed to eat the whole cake and we did. Well, over a few days and after sharing with other people. That was on our bucket list and I'm glad we got to cross it off. Oh, and Alexis if you read this we have to finish the rest of our bucket list. Yes, I still have it. :)

Oh, and how about the night we went to the district games!!! Do you remember baby... face? I sure do and I hope you do too!!! We got all ready together and she drove us to the game. ( We didn't even get lost once!) Yay got to come with us too! Oh you've got to love yourself a little yay$#@. ;)
I could go on and on about this beautiful, amazing girl but it would take too long! Thank you Alexis for helping me through my junior and senior year! Thank you for being an amazing example. I hope you have a chance to come and live in Salt Lake for a little bit! I love you Lou Lou!

P.S. Alexis is super amazing at planning weddings and parties. She makes fabulous cakes. Here is a link to her blog. http://lexislusciouscreations.blogspot.com/

Wait... another blog post???

Just had a great night with my ward!! Anyone who lives in Utah should go to the Family Fun Center. It has blow up toys, laser tag, roller skating and so much more! I got to know the Bishop a little more. Even if he was just killing me in laser tag! Oh, and I guess I'll mention it on here. I have been running for the past two morning. I wake up at 5:30 and I kind of like it. Of course, I went to bed at nine two nights ago. I run for about three miles. Well, walk one lap, run two laps. For the laps today I decided to do different things. I did lunges today and I swear my legs are going to fall off. I am super excited for this weekend. I get to see my daddy, brothers, and sister. My sister, Natalie, is going to be staying with me. I can't wait to go to temple square, the library, Deseret Book, and everything else!!! Oh life is great!!! Even if I do have to be up in five hours! I love you all!

I'M ALIVE!!!

Yes, I am alive!!!

I know this blog feels very neglected and I feel terrible for not posting sooner. I promised my mom I would post once a week. Well, I failed and failed miserably. I am at the LDS Business College. I think I am in my six week of college! I still can't believe that I'm in college. I swear I should still be Mrs. Brigg's class. College is challenging, busy, and I love it!! I have been living on my own for seven weeks. Well, I live with roommates but they are not my family. :)

I live with six amazing girls. We are all very different and we seem to get along fabulously. I would love to share a picture with this blog but I don't have any of my roommates. I despise pictures but I regret not having any pictures of six of my favorite people. Four of the seven girls are eighteen, one just turned nineteen, and the other girls are twenty plus. None of my roommates are from Utah. I miss all of my friends and family at home but I have been blessed with amazing roommates.

Like I mentioned earlier I am at the LDSBC. Since very few people actually know about this college I will teach you a little about it. The LDSBC is located in Downtown Salt Lake. It is a two year school and is filled with amazing faculty and students. The classes are limited to thirty and the teachers help you personally. They read your papers and know who you are. You can feel how much they love you and I know that they will do anything to help me. The LDSBC is two blocks away from Temple Square. We are located in one building but one of my classes is next door at the BYU building. We are celebrating our 125th birthday this year. There are so many great things about the LDSBC that I will have to share with you in another post.

I attend church at the U of U institute. Yes, the church is true even at the University of Utah! ;) Actually, my religion teacher is in charge of the institute at the U of U. I go to the Capitol Hill Ward. A lot of the sisters have served missions, graduated from college, and now have jobs. A lot of the guys are at the same place as the sisters. My ward is very mature in spirit and I am struggling to catch up to him. I am definitely one of the babies of the ward. I just received a visiting teaching assignment and my partner is Crysta, my roommate. I am very excited for the chance serve two sisters in my ward. I am part of the improv club at the LDSBC. The improv club is very similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. I attend a class once a week and I don't stop laughing for the whole hour!

I am taking seventeen credits, which sets up for some stressful times! I am taking two religion classes, a finance class, English, Communications, two computer classes, Intro to Law, and Foundations of Learning. The LDSBC surrounds there whole curriculum with the Gospel. I am continually shocked with how much I've been able to learn and handle. It's amazing to start class off with a prayer and have teaches who have the same beliefs as me. I am studying to become a paralegal, which is a new course here! My teacher is Claire Frehner. She solved a huge case in the 90's and she is an awesome lady. She is a convert to the church and has had a lot of trials. She is very awesome!

I am so grateful for all of the tender mercies I receive on a daily basis. I'm very thankful for the chance I've had to come to the LDSBC and Salt Lake City. I am very grateful that I have an amazing brother who goes to school with me. I am grateful for my brother who lives forty minutes away. I am so thankful for the temple that's a block away and for a church that is everywhere.

I miss my family so much but I know that I am suppose to be here! Sorry, this has been a rambling post but I hope to post more often. Posts about Temple Wednesday, BYU games, roommates, and a trip home to follow!
