In Love

Yes!! That's right, I'm in love. With.... drumroll.....
This song!
I've always had love for songs with weird beats and different tunes.
I just love the words and melody to this song.
Imagine Dragons is a great band.
I hope everyone has a great and safe night.

Emmy Lou

Who is that beautiful girl?
Well, that beautiful girl is my sister Emmy. Today is her birthday!
Emmy just turned sixteen!
I can't believe my little sister is that old.
I'm very sad that I missed her birthday and I didn't have a chance to talk with her.
So I decided to write a post about her.
I've mentioned her earlier in this post.
I think she is so cool!
My sister has beautiful blue eyes and long blonde hair.
She has the cutest chin ever.
She is determined, stubborn, and very loyal.
I know that she loves me and my whole family.
Emily is a great athlete.
She can do anything she puts her mind to.
Emily has a great sense of humor.
Emily also has a love for the Gospel.
I know that for sure.
She loves Joseph Smith and has a very strong testimony of him.
I know that Emily will be a great mom one day and I'm excited to find out what her kids are like. (Yes, I hope they are as stubborn as her.)
There is so much I can write about Emmy but I will have to save some things for later.

I love you Emmy and I hope you had a great birthday!
I wish I could have been there with you!
I am glad we can be best friends for eternity!
I LOVE YOU!!
Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Sunday!

I love this song!
I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Thankful Thursday

Well, I missed doing Thankful Tuesday, so I will do a Thankful Thursday post.
This past week has been a stressful, long, and busy week.
However, I have a lot to be thankful for and I'm starting to realize that more now than ever.

1. I'm thankful for my Paralegal Teachers for being so understanding. They have allowed me to have a little bit of extra time to turn in my assignments. I will be on schedule starting next week.

2. I'm thankful for my Paralegal buddies for helping me catch up on all of my homework. I'm so excited I get to spend the next three or four semesters with them. They are a lot of fun!

3. I'm thankful for the LDSBC. Yesterday they had a great seminar going on. I got to hear from a lot of professionals. I heard a lot of useful information. I can't even put into words how thankful I am for this school.

4. I'm thankful for Crysta. She has been helping me survive this last week. I mean she has been feeding me and making sure I am still alive. I haven't been  a very good friend for the last two weeks and she has been very understanding. Crysta is one of the most saint like people I know.

5. I'm thankful for President Richards. I've had the chance to hear him speak multiple times in the last month. I can tell he loves all of the students and the LDSBC. I feel like all of his talks are directed towards me. He manages to be an answer to my prayers every time he talks.

6. I'm thankful for my Foundations of Learning students. I was never able to understand how teachers loved their students. It use to annoy me when they would say that, but now I know that it is true. I have sixteen people in my class, but I've only met thirteen of them. I am amazed that I can care for three people I've never met before. I had a chance to fast for the students and I know that we were put together for a reason.

7. I'm thankful for Kierstin Williams. Not only is she one of my roommates, but a teacher in my Foundations of Learning class. I've had the chance to fast, study, and say prayers with her. She is a great example and I hope that I can become more like her. Her testimony is outstanding. She is continuously pushing me to be a better person.

8. I'm thankful for Terrell Hobby. I am in a companionship with him in Mentors & Ambassadors. He is also a teacher in my Foundations of Learning class. I have learned a lot from him in these past three weeks. He is a great teacher and really loves the Gospel. I'm thankful that he taught me about awkward pauses. The best comments come from those. Terrell is a great friend and I'm blessed to spend time with him.

9. One more Foundations of Learning teacher. I am part of a team that teaches Foundations of Learning. I've already mentioned Terrell and Kierstin, but there is one more! Tyler Larson is the lead teacher. He has been teaching Foundations of Learning for four semesters. He has been in three classes for Foundations of Learning. I had a chance to teach with him this past week and he is great.  He has a lot of strengths that I need to work on. I'm thankful I get to learn from Tyler twice a week.

10. Roommates! Thank you for letting me stubborn and mean. I really am working on being better!

Now three is a lot more to be thankful for, but I will save those for later. I know a lot of these thankful things revolved around Foundations of Learning, but I love the class. It has been one of the biggest blessings in my life! If anyone wants to know more about it let me know!

Oh, and just so everyone knows I'm thankful for my family. They are much better at staying in touch than I am! I hope everyone has a great day!

Families Can Be Together Forever

I am so thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I'm thankful that I get to be with my family forever.
I know that if I live worthily I can be with my family forever.
This past week I've heard of a lot of people who have been passing away.
As I get older, I realize that there is a lot of death around me
I'm thankful that I do not need to fear death.
I know that when I lose someone they are still alive.
I'm so thankful for the Plan of Salvation.
Everyone hug your family for me.
I love my family!
I hope everyone has a great Sabbath Day.

Life's Good!

I have so much to be thankful for!
I've been wanting to write a post about my ride home but I've not been in the mood to write the last few days.
Last night I got to have a party with my favorite Englishman, Duncan.
He had to celebrate a birthday without his family and my roommates decided to throw a party for him.
The party was a lot of fun and I just can't get enough of his accent!
Today was very weird.
I was tired and somewhat grumpy.
I was feeling stressed, anxious, and very down.
I was able to have a great talk with my roommates and they helped to put me in a better mood.
I've mentioned before how lucky I am to have great roommates.
I have a lot of shortcomings and I'm glad they put up with them.
I have a lot of great people in my life.
I'm surrounded by great examples!
Oh, and I have some fun posts coming up.
I have a bidet in my house and I got some great footage of Kiersten turning it on.
I will post the videos soon!

Oh, and for anyone who has been put in the friend zone I think you'll like this song.

A Few of My Favorite Things

I'm back in Salt Lake.
I have a post to write about my ride back to Salt Lake City but right now I'm snacking.
I'm enjoying a bag of Oreos and some 2% Milk.
Everyone have some cookies and listen to dubstep.
Your day will be better.

Thankful Tuesday... or Thursday

Remember when I did Thirty Days of Thanks?
Well, I really liked doing that and I found that I was more appreciative and happy with everything I had. I've been thinking about having a day where I post ten things I'm thankful for. I like the sound of Thankful Tuesday, but that is one of my busiest days and I don't want to add anything more to my schedule. So I will have to go with Thankful Thursday. I really like putting the same letters together. Weird, I know.

However, I am not busy and I still have an hour left of my Tuesday. Here we go!!

1. I'm thankful that I got to visit Emily and Abby today!! They are so much fun and can keep me entertained for hours. I loved growing up with Emily and it's always fun catching up with her.

2. I'm thankful my daddy is such a good bishop! I had a chance to see him in action today. My dad is always a great example but I can tell that he really loves his ward. He's really amazing.

3. I'm thankful I got to spend time with my mommy. I can't even explain how awesome she is. I swear she has to live in her car. She's been off of sugar for a very long time and I'm so proud of her. She's stronger than me. She's also a great example.

4. I'm thankful for my Foundations of Learning class. I was really sad I missed teaching the class today, but I know I'm suppose to be at home. Plus, Kiersten took my spot and that means the students had an amazing lesson.

5. I'm thankful for Crysta, Alix, Kylee, Ella, Angelynn, and Kiersten. I have amazing roommates. I hope I always have good roommates. I've been very lucky.

6. I got to spend a whole day with Brigham. My little brother is very cool and funny. He's a trooper and I love spending time with him. I wish I could pack him up and take him home with me.

7. I got to hold a baby yesterday. I miss seeing kids and babies every week. Thank goodness for a vacation home.

8. I'm thankful for Sister Forsberg. She has been on my mind a lot and I realize she has always been there for me. She's Emily's mom and she's like my second mom.

9. I'm thankful for modern medicine. I can't imagine life without it!

10. I'm thankful to be home with my family. I hope the next day goes really slow. :)

I really have a lot to be thankful for. I know I could come up with a long list of things to be thankful for. Maybe I'll do a Thankful Thursday this week too! Everyone enjoy your time with families and friends. Make sure you tell everyone you know how thankful you are for them. Oh, and make sure they know you love them!

I'm Home!!!!!

That's right folks I am home! I have a break tomorrow and I had some things come up, so I decided to come home for a few days. I'm so glad to be home. I feel like I didn't get to visit during Christmas break. Everyone have a great night and week!

Wrong Decade

I feel like I was born in the wrong decade. I've always had a love for the 80s, but everyone does, right? Well, I really love that decade. My favorite things about the 80s is the music. When I do my homework I listen to music and I always end up listening to 80's music. Last night as I was working on my Litigation homework I stumbled across this video.

I couldn't believe that there is a nine minute video that holds some of the greatest songs ever. It didn't take me long to realize that there's a part two also! You want to listen to part two? Oh, I'll get it for you!

You're an eighties child if ...
You had a crush on one of the New Kids on the Block members.
You wanted to be on StarSearch.
You ever uttered the word "Radical!"
You wore jelly shoes and jelly bracelets
You thought "Ghostbusters" was by far the coolest movie
You remember watching shows like "Punky Brewster" , "Webster", "You Can't Do That On Television" , "Wild&Crazy Kids" and "Double Dare"
You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off. Or even when he had those freaky eyes in "Thriller" at the end of the video.
You wore a banana clip in your hair or one of those slap on wrist bands at some point during your youth.
You rolled up the bottoms of your splatter painted jeans.
You wore loafers with everything, and you put the laces in those little rolls.
You had slouch socks, and puff painted your own shirt at least once.
You owned a doll with 'Xavier Roberts' signed on it's butt.
You knew what Willis was "talkin' 'bout."
You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off."
You can name half of the members of the elite "Brat Pack."
You can remember watching Full House and Saved by the Bell for endless hours!
You have seen at least 10 episodes of Fraggle Rock.
You yearned to be a member of The Babysitters Club, and tried to start a club of your own.
You sat on your back porch, playing with your "My Little Pony" , "Rainbow Brite" , and "Strawberry Shortcake" dolls
You know that another name for a keyboard is a "Synthesizer."
You hold a special place in your heart for "Back to the Future."
You know where to go if you "wanna go where everybody knows your name."
You thought Molly Ringwald was REALLY cool.
You know what "sike" and "not!" mean
You fell victim to 80's fashion : big hair, crimped, combed over to the side, big hoop earrings, and possibly the worst:you wore spandex pants.
You wanted to be a Goonie, or Elliot from E.T.
You owned an extensive collection of Cabbage Patch Kids and trolls.
You knew "The Artist" when he was humbly called "Prince."
You actually saw Ted Danson as the MacDaddy he played "Sam" to be.
You ever wore flourescent -neon if you will clothing....
You could breakdance, or wished you could.
You know who He-Man and She-Ra are.
You remember when ATARI was a state of the art video game system.
You know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby".
You remember MC hammer well.
You can still sing the rap to "Fresh Prince of Belair".
You own any cassettes.
You were led to believe that in the year 2000 we'd all be living on the moon.
You remember and/or own any of the CareBear Glass collection from PizzaHut.
Pizza Hut was the coolest place to hang.
Poltergeist freaked you out.
You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins or an E.T. lunchbox.
You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf.
You wanted to communicate with some being named Cinergy, or you wanted green hair like that lead singer of the Misfits.
You totally LOVED Barbie's cooler, punkier counterpart, "Jem" and her "Rockers"
You wanted to have an alien like Alf living in your house.
You wore biker shorts underneath a short skirt and felt stylish.
You wore tights under shorts and felt stylish.
You layered your multi-colored slouch socks, and added suspenders to make your outfit complete.
You ever had a Swatch Watch.
You actually spent countless hours trying to perfect the care-bear stare.
You had a crush on one of the Coreys
You remember when Saturday Night Live was funny.
You had WonderWoman or Superman underwear.
You wanted to be The Hulk for Halloween.
You believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power"

I Will Be Positive but It Might Be Hard

Having class for seven hours straight, two days in a row might kill me. I've decided that if I think positive I will be able to make it through. For every negative thought I will say three positive things. So this is what went through my head.

Negative thought: This is taking forever!
Positive Thought: I only have three and a half hours left.
Positive Thought: I don't have class tomorrow.
Positive Thought: Only thirteen weeks left.

I don't know if those positive thoughts should count but I do like them!!

A Few Good Videos

I feel happy of myself!

I hope everyone has a great day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!

Remember when I wrote about my daddy?  Well, today was his birthday!! I had a chance to call him and he was having lunch with my sister Emily. I was very jealous of her because I really do love my daddy. He is one of my most favorite people! I hope I have  a chance to see him soon. I love you Daddy and I hope you had a great date with mom! Thanks for being a great example and being the best dad ever!

One More Resolution

Last night I had an epiphany! Last night was really weird and long night. I decided that I needed to do some things. I am not a take risks type of person. Sometimes I do take risks, but not that often. So this year I am going to do one thing a day that is scary or that is out of my comfort zone. I wish I had come up with this but I actually stole the idea from Eleanor Roosevelt. She said, "Do one thing every day that scares you."

So this year I'm actually going to enjoy the improv team and volunteer more while at the classes. I am going to go on California Screamin' and Soarin' over California. I'm going to go on difficult hikes. I think that this is going  to be my most difficult resolution but I am young and now is the time to work on things.
 Thank goodness for self improvement!

50 and 1000

Well, I've had 1000 views on my blog and this is my 50 post! That's got to mean something in the blogging world. I love this blog and I'm excited to have 50 more post. My day has been amazing. I am with Crysta again  and we spent last night watching movies. I also got to talk to my daddy last night. Tonight there is a broadcast I get to go to and then I have some friends who are coming over tonight. School starts tomorrow and I'm so excited. I feel like I am going to change a lot this semester. I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. Here's a post to new beginnings!

Fast Sunday

I hope everyone has a great Sabbath Day. I am very thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am very humbled as I continue to learn more about the Gospel. I'm very blessed to have been raised by amazing parents, who have  a firm testimony of the Gospel. I'm very thankful that I can say a prayer and talk directly to my Heavenly Father. I know that the atonement is a very real thing and I am amazed that I can use it whenever I want. I'm so thankful that I have free agency and I get to make my own choices.
I'm thankful for being guided to attend the LDSBC. I have met a lot of amazing people while being here and I've learned so much from them. I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon and for the guidance I'm able to find through them. I know that Joseph Smith did restore this church to the latter days. I'm thankful that I'm able to fast and really think and ask for guidance and help. A few of these things have really been on my mind recently and I'm glad I know the truth of all of these things.

A Much Needed Day

Today is going to be a lazy day I can feel it. This past week I have been to fifty hours of training for mentors and foundations. Since last Thursday I've been to fifty-eight hours of training. Needless to say I'm very tired and I need a break.

Have I mentioned how thankful I am for my mom? She called me yesterday to talk and the whole time I was just ranting and annoyed. My mom is a very good listener and just let me talk. She gave advice here and there too. After a very long rant she told met to take a nap. With permission I took a nap from my mom and after waking up I definitely felt better. Throw in the awesome shower I took and I was fabulous.

Last night I went to bed at 9:30 and I bet I was asleep until 10:30. Which is a huge accomplishment for me because I have a huge sleep problem. I doubt I've been to bed that early since last summer. I woke up a few times during the night but I didn't actually get up until 9:30/ 10:00. What a great feeling!

I hope that I am in  a better mood today. I know that I have the choice but sometimes I just feel like being grumpy. Today I plan on reading my book, writing a book report, cleaning, watching a movie, and being with friends. Yes, today will be a lazy day. Thank goodness for days like today!!

Oh, and for my new year's resolutions I am doing semi-decent. I've been off of Facebook for almost a week. I love it! I would encourage everyone else to take a break from Facebook. I didn't realize how much I was on it. I think I'm going to make the blogging four times in a month. :) I did cook a new meal. I did some service. I shared my testimony. I've started to read the Book of Mormon. I did receive some calls from my family but I didn't get to talk very long. (I really need to do better at that) I'm writing a book report and that will help start my semester off with a  4.0. Looking for a job. I'm going to finish my book report two days before it is due.

The other things I'm starting on Monday. I am excited to start running, eating right, and trying to be more positive! I have another post to right today. I might get to it but I might not. This past week has been spiritually uplifting and very exhausting. However, I'm very thankful for everyone I've met and everything I've learned.

Spiritually and Physically Exhausted

Amazing! If there is one word I could use to sum up what I just went through it is definitely amazing. I don't know if I've mentioned it on this blog before but this upcoming semester I'm becoming a mentor for the LDSBC.

In the scriptures they use the word ministry instead of mentoring. Tuesday morning at 8 o' clock I arrived at the college very nervous and excited. I loved my mentor, Loira, and I really was nervous about not being able to be great like she was. Well, I spent the next day and a half learning about what a mentor is. After that we started talking about how we can be great mentors, administering angels, and a disciple of Christ. Well, being a mentor is being an administering angel and a disciple of Christ. I had a chance to hear from amazing students, past mentors, and some great adults who work at the school. I can not say enough about this program and I'm so excited to be a part of it! I have taken so many notes and have felt the Spirit so strongly.

They fed us very well and I am sure I ate more than I should have. On Friday I will be the first person someone talks or sees at the school. I get to be a part of new student orientation. I hope I can make some other student's orientation easy and fun. I am loving the opportunities I'm receiving while being at this school. I am exhausted physically and spiritually.

Tomorrow I will be attending a five to six hour seminar on how to be a better Foundations of Learning teacher. I look forward to feeling the spirit more. I hope everyone has a great and safe night! Read your scriptures. I also hope everyone says a prayer to have your eyes open. There are so many chances to serve!

Good start to a new year!

Happy new year!!! Goodbye 2011, hello 2012! Hasta luego 2011! Hola 2012!

I hope everyone had a great and safe night. I had a super night. It was a great way to start off my year and I'm very excited for this year.

I already started on some of my resolutions. I deactivated my facebook. Well, my roommate helped me on that one. I'm going on six hours and so far I love it! ;) I plan on exercising a little bit tomorrow. Oh, and tomorrow I'm cooking french dip for dinner with my roommate. I feel like this year is going to be great. I say that all the time but it's true!
