Happy Birthday Bowskie!

It's Brigham's birthday!!
I can't believe he's turning eleven.
I still remember visiting him in the hospital and holding him.
Brigham was the tiebreaker for every competition.
There are four boys, three girls.
Four blue eyed kids and three brown eyed kids.
Yes, I did lose both of those competitions, but I'm so glad he was born!
Brigham is one of the strongest  kids I know.
He has been through two surgeries, doctor appointments, and a lot of pain.
I'm continuously amazed by his strength.
I miss his dimply hands, beautiful eyes, and strong hugs.
I had a chance to cal him today and it hit me how much I miss him.
I remember rubbing his back while he went to sleep.
Rubbing his back during church and holding him on my lap.
I really regret not spending more time with him when I go him.
Brigham you are amazing and I love you!!
You are so strong and I'm amazed by you always.
Be nice to mom and everyone else.
Happy eleventh birthday Brigham!!

Thankful Thursday!

I missed a day!
I really do need to get better at posting.
I feel like I've been neglecting this blog.
Maybe that will be my new goal?

1. I'm thankful for the temple.
My teacher, Sister Frehner, just lost her daughter to cancer.
She came to our class the day her daughter was dying because she needed to be around us.
She said something about her testimony and how she will be able to handle this because of it.

2. I'm thankful for my teachers and their testimonies.
Their testimonies have been a great support system for me.
It is really cool to be taught by people who use the gospel in their lives to achieve.

3. I had a chance to go country dancing tonight.
Oh my goodness, it was a blast.
I think it's going to become a Thursday night tradition.
I'm a little sore today, but it was definitely worth it!

4. I'm thankful for soccer.
I had a chance to play with a stress ball and I'm amazed at the memory my legs and feet have.

5. I'm thankful for improv.
I had a chance to attend a workshop for improv.
I was actually helping at this one and I love seeing the change in the people at the workshop.
Everyone needs to attend an improv workshop.
I can guarantee you will go away with four principles to make your life better.

6. I'm thankful for mutual activities and leaders.
The improv workshop was actually a mutual activity.
I never realized how much work the leaders actually put in until I left for college.
I have been blessed to have great church leaders.

7. I'm thankful for Enya and all the memories it brings back.
Enya always reminds me of ballet, which reminds me of my mommy.
I'm thankful for that time I had to be with my mom.
I do have a lot of great memories of ballet, but even more memories of ballet AND my mom.

8. I'm thankful for the patience of Porter, my dad, and mom.
They still call me on the phone even when I am awkward on the phone
I love that they continue to call me when I'm terrible at contacting them.
I love you guys so much and really appreciate you!
Call me whenever you want.
Except Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Those are pretty full.

9. I'm thankful for blessings.
I received one a few nights ago.
I love feeling that connection with my Heavenly Father.
Everyone get a blessing as much as possible.

10. I'm thankful for Nathan.
He is being a senate page in Boise right now.
I had a chance to call him this week and he is doing amazing!
I'm so happy he is getting to experience something I loved so much.
Nathan got accepted to BYU.
I can't wait to have him close.
Four siblings in Utah?
I can't wait!

I think I'm going to try to blog this weekend.
I can't promise but definitely keep your eye open!

Sunday Post

So, I missed last week.
I don't know when it became a habit to post a hymn on Sunday, but I liked it.
It truly put me in a reflective mood.

Today I am fasting, for myself and my roommates.
I never fully realized that I am with Daughter's of God.
I let myself become so caught up with worldy things, that I often forget to look right in front of me and see the princess that my Heavenly Father has placed in my life.

I am so blessed to have six amazing girls living in my house.
I am surrounded by girls who have huge hearts and want to love everyone around them.
I've able to gain a stronger testimony from them.

We have been having family study and prayer every night this past week.
Sometimes the prayer takes place at ten at night and sometimes it takes place at two in the morning.
I know that we have been able to feel the Spirit more since putting him into our life.
I hope that everyone takes five minutes to say a prayer with your family or roommates.
Do not forget to put the Gospel at the center of everything.
The Savior knows what we need specifically and he's one on the only ways we can know what to do.
Don't forget to use the Holy Ghost.
He's one of the greatest gifts we can ever receive.
We are blessed to have someone who can help us with our choices.
Use him fully.

I love this song and I know that my Redeemer lives.
I love that I get to see it on a daily basis.
I know that I am going to consciously try to  stay close to the Gospel.

The Gospel brings happiness!!!

Sunday! :)

Have I mentioned how much I love living close to the Salt Lake Temple.
It's a three minute walk to temple square and I haven't been there in ages.
I think I will go and visit today.
Everyone take the chance to go and visit the  closest temple to you.
Have a great Sabbath day!

One of my favorite families, the Lokeys.

Paralegal Classes

What's on my mind right now?
Oh let me tell you!
Paralegal Procedures
Paralegal Computer Application
Civil Litigation Class  and Lab
Torts
I'm learning about all of these things right now and I'm going crazy.
What did I get myself into?
Why do I like this so much?
Why do the classes have to be three hours long?
Why am I gaining so much weight? (Okay, we aren't actually talking about that but it's definitely on my mind!)
Thank goodness for technology.
Pinterest? Good.
Blogging? Even better.
Texting. The best.
Less than two hours and I'm done for the week.
Except for improv workshops at 7:15 in the morning on Thursday and Friday.
Homework.
Homework.
Homework.

Tomorrow's Thankful Thursday.
Maybe tomorrow's post won't be as random as today's post.

Oh, and that's Sister Frehner with the red hair. I love her!!!
