The cool thing about having my birthday on December 30 is that it's so close to the end of the year. I've never done New Year's Resolutions but I think I'm going to do something similar to them this year. I want to accomplish nineteen things before I turn twenty. Which means I have a year to do these things. As I accomplish the things I will write about it on this blog.
1. Go at least one month without facebook.
2. Blog at least four times a month.
3. Run a 5K and not die.
4. Run a half-marathon and smile at the end of it.
5. Learn how to cook five more meals.
6. Do service for someone once a week.
7. Share my testimony at least twice a week.
8. Read the Book of Mormon in it's entirety.
9. Call my loved ones more often.
10. Become a 4.0 student for the next three semesters.
11. Get a job and be good at it.
12. Go off of sugar and other unnecessary things for 21 days.
13. Be a better class president.
14. Have all my homework done at least two days before it is due.
15. Learn ASL. (If Kiersten or Carli read this, I plan on using you guys! ;) )
16. Go to the temple at least two times a month.
17. Read Pride and Prejudice written by Jane Austen.
18. Only let the positive thoughts linger in my head.
19. Be generous and kind in all of my thoughts and actions.
A lot of these things will take the whole year but I like them for that reason. I've been thinking a lot about how I want this year to be my best year. I hope that all of you have thought of resolutions and I hope you all can achieve your resolutions. 2012 is going to be a great year and I can't wait to start it! Oh, and the next time I blog it will be in 2012. Weird! Actually, I might blog again today but don't count on it!
