Day Two

Yes, I know that I'm a day late but yesterday was a crazy day. Today I'm thankful for modern inventions. Like technology, cars, red lights, air conditioning, heating and everything else that is fabulous. 

I can not imagine a life without technology. Okay, I will confess, technology is very irritating! Technology can be distracting, a communications barrier, and a waste of time. I couldn't live without it though! I can not imagine living four hours away from my family and not being able to call or text them whenever I want. 

Cars! I never realized how big of a blessing a car was until I didn't have one. I know that Salt Lake is a place where you can get by without a car but I sure do miss it. It would be nice to have a car to get groceries, go to places that are far away, and be able to get to church. I'm very lucky to be surrounded by people who will share their cars and drive me around. 

Ah red lights and stop signs. Utah drivers don't always see these wonderful little blessing. I still don't understand how they can miss those red lights. I'm very thankful for the people who do obey them because I get to walk everywhere and I enjoy not getting hit. I'm very lucky to have only had one almost accident while being in Salt Lake City.

Air Conditioning and Heating are two things I miss. The house I'm living in is absolutely delightful but there are a few things that could change. A few nights ago there was huge winds, like hurricane winds. My room was freezing cold and the heat was not working. It started working at four o' clock in the morning. Yes I was awake at four in the morning. I was super happy when it did start working.

So there you go folks! This is my day two for my thirty days of thanks! I hope you had a wonderful December Second. I know I did! :)
